Bullying is a Human Rights Issue

No child should be fearful for their life.  Bullying is a violation of a child’s human rights. Under the Australian Convention on the Rights of a Child, Article 3, Section 2 it advises: ”State parties undertake to ensure the child such protection and care as is necessary for his or her wellbeing taking into account the rights and duties of his or her parents, legal guardians or other individuals legally responsible for him or her, and, to this end, shall take all appropriate legislative and administrative measures.” Duty of care by school personnel, sporting and recreation organisations and any authority that has responsibility of a child is essential.  That care of a child must ensure not only physical wellbeing but...

Cyber Bullying - The Scourge On Our Society

Cyber bullying is another aspect of the bullying scourge on our society.  Cyber bullying is when technology is used to abuse others through their social network.  Social platforms like Facebook and Instagram are intended to bring people together,  Unfortunately it can be an avenue that is used to hurt others, and can create a life of loneliness, embarrassment and fear for the victim of cyber bullying.
